The coronavirus pandemic has brought unprecedented and unpredictable changes to AmeriLife, and the world at large. At AmeriLife, please be assured that the safety, health and well-being of our associates and agents remains our priority.

Currently, AmeriLife is in the process of transitioning many associates (particularly at the home office level) to a rotating work-from-home schedule to comply with safe-distancing practices, which are proven tactics to help flatten the infection curve and reduce the spread of the virus.

We are strictly following guidelines on prevention control measures from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and complying with any government direction on keeping workplaces safe during this challenging time.

In addition, the company has taken added steps to proactively reduce the risk of spreading the coronavirus at AmeriLife Place, and in coordination with its affiliate locations.

  • Increasing the frequency of cleaning all common areas
  • Disinfecting door handles and frequently touched surfaces
  • Propping open doors not required to be closed to prevent unneeded touching
  • Distributing personal hand sanitizers to associates
  • Encouraging the practice of social distancing (phone calls in place of face-to-face meetings when possible, using video conferencing technology, keeping people six-feet apart, etc.)

At this time, we have not had any confirmed cases of coronavirus at AmeriLife Place or directly with any AmeriLife employee. In the event of a confirmed case with an employee working at one of our offices, the company will take immediate action to sanitize affected areas and require self-quarantine procedures to be followed.

Yesterday, our CEO, Scott Perry, emailed a video message to announce the recent closing of our company’s recapitalization agreement with T.H. Lee. But he spent the majority of his time talking directly to AmeriLife associates about the coronavirus, and reassuring associates that AmeriLife is committed to a safe work environment.

Scott assured associates that, “We will get through this.” And we will.

Thank you for your continued hard work and commitment to both our values and our mission, even as the way we do business continues to evolved in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Please contact your supervisor with any questions regarding AmeriLife’s coronavirus procedures. Please visit the CDC’s website for additional ways you can personally protect yourself, both at work and at home.
