AmeriLife wants to reinforce that the health and safety of its associates is the company’s highest priority.
The company is supporting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) guidelines for wearing face coverings when out of the home and wants to provide all associates with face masks to wear when working in their offices.
Please note: face masks are not mandatory while working but are required during associates’ temperature checks when they arrive each day.
The company currently has a supply of N95 masks for associates to use the week of May 18, with at least one N95 mask for each associate.
An additional supply of medical masks has been ordered; however, due to shipping delays, the masks the company ordered for the affiliate locations will not be delivered until later next week.
While not a recommendation for health care professionals, the CDC does offer guidance for reusing N95 masks, in limited cases. Click here to read those guidelines.
Associates at affiliate locations can use their N95 masks until the supply of medical masks arrive or can use their own masks in the interim. (Instructions for making masks are included at the end of this email.)
The company apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause associates. We will send the masks to the affiliate locations, via an overnight service, as soon as they arrive.

The CDC is currently recommending that anyone going out in public to wear a mask or face covering.

Even if supplies are limited, consider things around the house, such as scrap fabric, an old scarf, t-shirt, or sheets, as well as rubber bands, hair ties, elastic from an old sheet, or even ribbon to help hold your mask in place.
