Elite Insurance Group’s Success Builds Momentum Ahead of AEP

Licensed insurance agents pay attention to the promises their organization makes. Their decision to stay, grow, and bring others along usually depends on whether the day-to-day reality delivers on those promises.

For Elite Insurance Group, investing in that relationship contributed to a 181% year-over-year increase in Medicare Advantage Unique Agent Counts. The milestone marks another step forward for Elite since joining AmeriLife’s Health Distribution network in 2024.

“Growth like this doesn’t come from one thing. It comes from becoming a place where agents can build a business,” said Elite founder and CEO David Wilson. “We’ve stayed focused on partnership. A lot of this came from strong downline agencies that chose to build with us because we gave them the tools and support to scale their own rosters.”

Earning trust behind the scenes

Elite describes its business as being “built by licensed insurance agents, for licensed insurance agents.” David and COO Hunter Davis both began their careers in the field, giving them firsthand knowledge of the operational details that can strengthen or strain a licensed insurance agent’s relationship with an organization.

Elite has invested in faster contracting, cleaner commission processing, compliance resources, and greater transparency into books of business. Licensed insurance agents won’t see every process working behind the scenes, but they’ll notice whether contracting moves efficiently, commissions arrive correctly, and questions receive clear answers.

“When licensed insurance agents trust they’ll get paid correctly and on time and that someone has their back on compliance, they bring their production, and they bring others with them,” Hunter said.

Downline agencies have also contributed to Elite’s expansion. Agency owners receive the infrastructure and tools to develop their own rosters, allowing Elite to advance alongside the businesses it serves.

AEP readiness begins early

Elite is bringing the same operational discipline to this year’s Annual Enrollment Period (AEP). Third-quarter efforts include carrier readiness, certification assistance, early access to 2027 plan information, and compliance guidance designed to help licensed insurance agents enter the enrollment period prepared.

Data is helping agencies anticipate which beneficiaries could be affected by carrier service area reductions. Elite compares announced changes with its downline books and provides the findings to the appropriate licensed insurance agents before AEP begins.

Hunter said the goal is to give them enough time to identify affected beneficiaries, review available coverage, and prepare for needs-based conversations before the season gets underway. Elite’s AEP Kickoff, scheduled for September 22-24 at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate, will bring licensed insurance agents and carrier partners together for training, product previews, and planning.

“Nobody should walk into AEP guessing,” Hunter said.

Preparing for continued progress in 2027

AEP will put Elite’s planning and infrastructure to work during one of the year’s busiest periods. Its priorities, however, reach beyond the coming enrollment season.

Elite is expanding its carrier lineup, strengthening agency partnerships, and introducing reporting and technology that will give licensed insurance agents and agency owners more immediate insight into their businesses. AmeriLife has helped make those investments possible while Elite continues to provide local, hands-on service.

“Being an AmeriLife company gave us scale and stability without changing who we are,” Hunter said. “It expanded our access to carriers, products, and resources we couldn’t have built alone, and it connected us to a national network of best practices.”

David sees 2027 as a chance to build on the work already underway.

“We’ve spent the last year building systems that scale, and 2027 is where that groundwork starts to compound,” he said. “The goal is for Elite to be the FMO that agents don’t outgrow.”

Elite’s success shows what can happen when recruitment is backed by reliable operations, productive agency relationships, and tools that help licensed insurance agents build for the long term. With AEP approaching, Elite is putting that model to work as licensed insurance agents prepare to serve beneficiaries during the coming enrollment season.
