AmeriLife Gives Back: Honor Flight
As the year closes out, AmeriLife associates kept their charitable endeavors going strong by donating to save lives and sponsoring a trip to honor military veterans.
PULL QUOTE FOR CONSIDERATION
“We’re always so excited to be able to do our part in helping save lives in our community.”
Mishelle Bravo, AmeriLife Career Agency Administrative Assistant to Michael Moore
For more than 50 years, AmeriLife has made giving back an essential part of who we are — and this year was no different. As a value-driven company, we’re always looking for ways to contribute to our mission of helping people live longer, healthier lives. In the last quarter of 2025, we renewed that commitment through continued philanthropic and volunteer endeavors.
Celebrating the Second Annual Honor Flight Network Trip
In September, the AmeriLife Gives Back Foundation joined forces with the Honor Flight Network in Washington, D.C. for the second year in a row. Together, we escorted more than two dozen military veterans, free of charge, to the capital to visit memorials dedicated to their service and sacrifice.
Along with the honored veterans’ family members, volunteer guardians, and Honor Flight staff, our team spent a phenomenal weekend touring monuments commemorating the armed services, including the U.S. Air Force Memorial and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall. Over the two-day trip, AmeriLife associates shared their gratitude with service members. They engaged with the stories and experiences of veterans from World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.
The cooperation between AmeriLife Gives Back and the Honor Flight Network began in 2023, marking the foundation’s inaugural, national partnership. It remains a point of pride for AmeriLife as we look forward to forging future alliances with charities and organizations serving our local and national senior communities.
Hernando County Holds Second Blood Drive of the Year
AmeriLife of Hernando County continued its own partnership with Lifesouth Community Blood Centers, a community-based blood supplier in Florida, Alabama, and Georgia. The Hernando County office has been hosting two blood drives per year with Lifesouth, recently holding their second event of 2025 in October.
The drive was a success, with 10 registered donors participating and donating enough blood to save 30 lives! The Hernando County team also set up a giveaway table next to the Lifesouth bus for the donors who attended. From the AmeriLife Career Agency office, admin Mishelle Bravo and two agents participated. Two of those agents, Michele Cull and Wilfredo Lopez, were able to donate, and Lifesouth generously provided T-shirts for everyone who planned on participating.
“We’re always so excited to be able to do our part in helping save lives in our community, one blood donation at a time,” Mishelle told us. “We look forward to the next one we will be hosting sometime in the spring next year.”
