Amerilife, the nation’s largest annuity, life and health organization on the senior market today has announced Loida Abraham as the Chief Executive Officer of Long-Term Care Edge, Amerilife’s newly-formed company developing long-term care insurance products and services for its client insurance carriers.

Long-Term Care Edge will include both standalone and combination (annuity/LTC and life/LTC) products.   Using a new, innovative formula of the three Es, ease of use, excellent quality and unparallel experience in cost reduction, Amerilife’s new LTC Edge offers clients an uncomplicated, affordable long-term care product.

“We are excited about the ability to position ourselves as our clients’ care advocate from conception of their customized care plan, through claims completion,” explains Loida Abraham, founder of Long-Term Care Edge. “Our innovative edge allows us to offer more stay-at-home or nursing facility choices to meet a plethora of budget and lifestyle needs.”

Ms. Abraham has over twenty years experience in long-term care insurance. She has chaired the Society of Actuaries LTC Section and has been a member of several actuarial LTC task forces on pricing and valuation. Her background includes serving as Senior Vice President of US Health Products for Swiss Re where she led their entrance into the long-term care reinsurance market. Before moving to Swiss Re in 2007, she was Vice President for John Hancock of LTC Product and Risk Management. Ms. Abraham, a frequent speaker at LTCI conferences, has written several articles in the National Underwriter as well as the Advance Planning Magazine.
